It was an ugly shooting night for the KMBA Warriors as they hosted the Maranatha Baptist Academy Crusaders for a WACS playoff game. The Warriors could not buy a basket in the first half, but were able to rely on their scrappy defense and forcing turnovers to give them a slim lead heading into halftime. The boys came out with even more intensity in the second half, and were eventually able to bury the visiting Crusaders. Both the players and coaches were not happy with the poor shooting, but were encouraged that they were able to win handily even when they weren't shooting well and didn't have their biggest player, who was out with an injury. Jason Curtis led the KMBA scorers with 16, and Daniel Fuller and Timmy VanderPluym contributed 15 and 14 respectively. The Warriors have now advanced to the State tournament and will play Calvary Christian School this Friday.
